Minooka Community Girls Basketball team faced a defeat in their season opener against Lincoln Way West, with a final score of 51-42 on November 18.
According to the team's performance statistics, guard and forward Madelyn Kiper led Minooka in scoring with 16 points. McKenna Delaney contributed an additional 12 points, but the efforts were not enough to secure a victory as Lincoln-West maintained a nine-point lead.
The team addressed the loss through a post on their social media platform X, stating, "Learn tonight, get better tomorrow, improve against Joliet West on Wednesday."
The upcoming rematch against Lincoln Way Central is scheduled for Wednesday, November 20 at 5 p.m. at Joliet Junior College.
