Minooka Elementary School reported that 35.9% of its students passed the ELA portion of the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) test in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.

Of the 217 students who took part in the IAR 30.9% met the testing standard while 5.1% exceeded expectations and scored highest on the test.

The total percentage of Minooka Elementary School students who met or exceeded their ELA expectations was unchanged from the previous school year.

Minooka Elementary School is located within Minooka Community Consolidated School District 201, which roughly covers seven schools and has a main office in Minooka.

The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) measures how well students in grades 3-8 are progressing toward state standards in English language arts and mathematics.

Illinois has approved a 2025 budget that allocates $8.6 billion to K-12 education, a $350 million increase from the previous fiscal year—the minimum required under the state funding formula.
