Minooka High opens free preschool registration for 2025-2026 year
Dr. Robert Schiffbauer Superintendent | Minooka Community High School District 111

Minooka Community High School Central Campus is offering a free preschool program for the 2025-2026 year. The program is designed for children aged 3 to 5, provided they reach the age requirement by September 1st of the registration year.

High school students from the Child Development II class are responsible for creating and instructing activities. The program covers various subjects such as math, language arts, science, art, and both fine and gross motor skills. Children will also have weekly visits to the school's library, allowing them to check out books.

The preschool operates from early fall until mid-December and resumes from the end of February through mid-May. It is available two days a week, with days changing weekly to align with the high school block schedule. Each session runs from 8:20 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. Children must be potty trained and able to use the restroom independently.

Enrollment is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested parties can register for the 2025-2026 school year now. For more information or questions, contact Mrs. Christie Cain at ccain@mchs.net.
