MCHS has scheduled its prom for Friday, April 25th, 2025. Students will start their evening by checking in at Central Campus at 5:00 P.M., with buses leaving for the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago at 5:20 P.M. The prom event will take place at the museum from 7:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M., after which buses will return students to South Campus.
For the prom day, all students attending the event will be dismissed early from their classes after the third block, which ends at 12:26 P.M. Tickets for the prom are priced at $165 each and include transportation, venue access, food, a photo booth, and entertainment. Ticket sales are set from March 31 to April 10. Mrs. Holden, reachable at hholden@mchs.net, is the point of contact for financial assistance until April 1st.
Students purchasing tickets through OMELLA can immediately select their bus number during registration. They are required to use the bus they signed up for, where open seating will be available. Bus 2 has been designated as an ADA bus.
For those bringing outside guests, they must undergo an approval process before ticket purchases. MCHS students may need to switch buses to accommodate guests. Guests must use the same bus as the host student and provide a school ID or a picture ID upon entry. If an MCHS Junior or Senior student invites a Sophomore or Freshman as a guest, they need to contact Anne Seidel for a guest code.
Attendees are reminded to correctly use their ID numbers when purchasing tickets. Although formal prom pictures will not be taken this year, attendees can engage a VIP Photographer for photos next to exhibits at the museum. These photos can be purchased later from the VIP website.
The prom will feature a menu selected by the Junior Class Committee, with dinner stations open from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. followed by dessert from 9:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M. Options include pasta, a taste of Chicago, and a cantina, along with unlimited soft drinks, raspberry lemonade, and citrus-infused ice water.
