Minooka Community High School (MCHS) is set to present its annual spring Welcome Reception & Musical Matinee for community members aged 55 and over. This year's production will be "Anastasia," scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th at the Central Campus Performing Arts Center located at 301 South Wabena Avenue in Minooka. The event will begin with doors opening at 12:45 p.m., followed by light refreshments served during a reception at 1 p.m. The musical performance is slated to start at 1:30 p.m.

Attendees are encouraged to carpool due to parking constraints, and tickets are limited. For inquiries or ticket reservations, individuals can reach out to MCHS Student Activities Administrative Assistant Anne Seidel via phone at (815) 521-4108 or email aseidel@mchs.net. Voicemail messages should include the caller's name, telephone number, and the desired number of tickets.

Tickets for public performances from March 13-15 are now available. Prices are set at $10 per adult and $8 per student, senior citizen, or child. Purchases can be made online through GoFan. MCHS anticipates welcoming the community and highlighting their students' talents.

The musical "Anastasia" narrates a journey from the end of the Russian Empire to Paris in the 1920s. It follows a young woman named Anya as she seeks to uncover her past while being pursued by a Soviet officer intent on silencing her. With help from a conman and an ex-aristocrat, Anya embarks on an adventure in search of home, love, and family.
