The Village of Minooka has announced a public open house for the Canadian National Railway Logistic Hub, scheduled to take place at Minooka High School on January 14, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m.
According to a notice posted on Facebook by the village on December 23, the open house will focus on the proposed Chicago Logistic Hub Intermodal Facility, located off Route 6 in Channahon. The notice specifies that there will be no formal presentation or actions taken during the event.
The notification further states that participants can attend at their convenience during the three-hour event. Attendees will have the opportunity to examine exhibits and engage with representatives from Canadian National Railway about the project and address any questions or concerns they may have.
Minooka Village also clarified that "the event is unaffiliated with and unsanctioned by the Village of Channahon." Residents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the project and have their inquiries addressed.
